GAA Passport for Member Services Now Available
 
The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs is a founding member of the Global Accounting Alliance, an international accounting coalition of the world's premier accounting bodies. The alliance was announced in April 2006 and has been formed to collectively represent the views and interests of members with national regulators, governments and other stakeholders. By working more closely with our colleagues in the other capital markets around the globe, we will be able to provide leadership to the profession, working as one on key issues and initiatives that are important to members.

Globe Trotting, Anyone?
 
Member services are the group's first project, and globe-trotting accountants can get support when they travel for work to another jurisdiction covered by the GAA. The nine institutes have agreed to host visitors from GAA institutes when domiciled in their jurisdiction. Visitors will have access to many services, called the GAA Passport for Member Services, at discount rates or free of charge.

How to apply for the GAA Passport for Member Services
 
Members of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs can take advantage of these services by contacting the GAA institutes through these means:
Fill in the online application form that will automatically be sent to the destination institute
OR call the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs before you leave and we will notify the destination institute.
OR call the GAA institute in the jurisdiction when you arrive (for example, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants) to register.
